Our March launch benefiting The Children's Tumor Foundation, CTF was a great success!!!! The Angels raised over $2, 332 for this wonderful organization. AND we all did it in
honor of one very special girl who has been diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis, NF, ...little Kate!

Her parents wrote us the following heartfelt thank you:

We want to thank all of the Boutique Angels from the bottom of our hearts for raising funds and awareness of Neurofibromatosis (NF). We really enjoyed the launch. We watched the bidding and bid on some items. Kate is wearing her skirt and dress proudly!! So adorable!! It was so exciting to see Kate’s painting sell for $108. Lilly, a little girl in Texas, bought the painting and is going to hang it in her room and pray for Kate every night. How wonderful is that!!

We have been truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful organization. We are amazed and inspired by all of your generosity and kindness!! You are a very special group of women and we feel honored that you let us be a part of it!!!! You improved awareness of NF and educated others about this common genetic disorder. In addition, you all helped Kate learn more about NF in a positive environment and that means the world to us!!! Good luck with all of your future launches and keep up the good work helping children out there!!!!!!!!!! Together you are making a difference!!!!

Boutique Angels launch for Children's Tumor Foundation!

It's that time again...and this time 100% of the proceeds from our launch will be donated to the Chidren's Tumor Foundation. I will bet that you would also like to meet the precious little girl who inspired us to raise monies and awareness for this condition.

Meet Kate...

She enjoys making art projects, playing school, reading Junie B. Jones books, playing on the computer, and playing with her friends. She loves animals and wants to be a Vet when she grows up. She's your typical, happy and beautiful little girl...except for one thing...she has Neurofibromatosis (NF).

"NF is a life-long genetic disorder which causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. It is a disorder that comes with many potential complications. The mission of the Children's Tumor Foundation is to find a cure for NF and to improve the health and well-being of those individuals and familes affected by it. "

New year, new launch, new charity...

The Boutique Angels are announcing their next launch which will occur on March 23 through March 29, 2009. 100% of the proceeds raised will be donated to the Children's Tumor Foundation, you may learn more about this charitable organization by visiting their website .

We are really looking forward to this new year and are very excited about our future launches. We pledge not only to raise money for the charities we support, but also raise awareness for the many, many diseases and conditions that afflict so many children in our world.

Our last launch brought our total to-date donation amount to over $62,766! We are proud of that number and hope to quickly increase that number by leaps and bounds.

The ladies of the Boutique Angels wish to thank all of their supporters...with out you, we would not be able to do this.

I would also personally like to thank our members for their continued generosity and loyalty to the group. You all are wonderfully talented woman and without YOU...we could never do this.

CHILDREN OF FALLEN SOLDIERS RELIEF FUND

They provide college grants to those U.S. Military children who have lost a parent in the Afghanistan or Iraq Wars. This really is a great charity.

We are very excited and are gearing up to raise money for them...

That amount will be going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

We were on Danna Crawford's Internet Radio Show last night...and boy, did we have FUN! One of the Moderators in our group, Patty Garcia of key*west*kids, was by my side with Danna as we viewed some of the auction listings...there are really some GREAT listings going on right now!

A Highlight of the show was when Jodie and Mitchell called in. Jodie, eBay ID: kjncm is the mother of Mitchell, 10, who is one of the children who graces our auction template. Mitchell has Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes and is helping us to raise awareness of the disease. He let us know that he attended a Diabetes camp this summer...I think it is wonderful that there is a place for children who share the same condition to meet up with each other and know exactly what the other children are going through. He is also ready for school as he has had a wonderful swim-filled summer. They were a delight to have on the show and we appreciate them calling in!!!

Another highlight came within the last 20 minutes of the show. Danna had worked very hard to get a representative of JDRF to come on and speak with us. Well...they delivered!

Jackie and Molly Singer, representatives for JDRF and founders of the Diabetic Angels, were so inspirational. They are twin 19 year old sisters, Molly was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes as a toddler and Jackie, who is not a diabetic, is tested each year. They both have been motivated to be Diabetes Advocates and to raise awareness of the disease to those who don't understand...mainly their peers. Read what heart-wrenching event in 1998 led them to form the Diabetic Angels. At the end of the show, having found out that they were singers (coincidentally also being their last name), Danna put them on the spot and ultimately asked if they would sing for us...it was Heavenly!

Well, the launch isn't over...we still have one week left to go, but we have had a very successful launch already. Not only are we wanting to raise monies towards the research of Juvenile Diabetes but we are also trying to raise awareness about the disease and how it affects the young children it has taken a hold of. Mitchell and Jamie, at their tender age, can feel proud that they are doing what they can to help others. AND, Jackie and Molly who "mounted an attack on ignorance" of what Diabetes actually was, an attack so large that it is now 5 continents-wide, can also relish in the fact that they are role models.

Thank you to all who called in and to all who listened...we look forward to meeting up with Danna again in November when we have our next launch!
